Kidney health screenings from the American Kidney Fund's MIKE® Program are free of charge and open to anyone 18 and older.
Fasting Requirements
If you are planning to participate in one of our screenings, you should not eat or drink anything but water for at least 8 hours before the screening. This will give you more accurate test results. While you are fasting, you should continue to drink plenty of water and take any medicines as instructed by your doctor.
If you are diabetic or pregnant, do not fast. Continue eating your normal diet.
